Campus Engagement & Social Media Intern for the Virginia Forward Party

Campus Engagement & Social Media Intern for the Virginia Forward Party

Frustrated with politics as usual?
Think the two major parties aren't giving Americans enough choices?

Help us build something different.
The Forward Party is a growing political movement working to give voters more choices, encourage practical problem-solving, and build a political system where elected officials are rewarded for delivering results rather than simply fighting the other side.

Forward Virginia is looking for college students and recent graduates who want to help us build this movement across the Commonwealth – and gain hands-on experience in politics, communications, and grassroots organizing along the way.

Our intern will help:

  • Create engaging social media content on multiple channels and grow our online community
  • Update www.virginiaforwardparty.com as needed
  • Bring new voices and ideas into Forward Virginia's communications
  • Build connections with students and organizations on Virginia campuses
  • Organize campus events, speakers, and discussions
  • Start a Campus chapter of Forward Party
  • Develop creative ways to reach young Virginians who are looking for something different from
    politics

We're looking for candidates who are creative, reliable, comfortable with social media, and
interested in changing how politics works. You don't need political experience—or a long history of
political involvement. Initiative, curiosity, good judgment, and the ability to communicate matter more.
The internship is flexible and can be structured around an academic schedule. Our intern will have
meaningful responsibility and the opportunity to help shape how Forward reaches the next generation
of Virginia voters.

This is a volunteer position, intended for a college student needing internship credit or a recent
graduate who wants to develop skills and gain experience working with a startup political party. This
position requires 3-5 hours per week. Our intern will be supervised and mentored by members of the
Forward Virginia state committee. We are willing to work with an academic supervisor so that a student
can earn internship credit.

Interested? Send us a short note telling us about yourself, your career goals, and what you would like to change about American politics.
